More Than a Dent Pull
Panel beating starts with a proper look at what's actually happened to the metal, not just what's visible on the surface. Before any tool touches the panel, we run a straight edge and raking light across it to pick up the low spots and hidden creases that don't show under normal light — a step a lot of quick repairs skip. From there it's a mix of pulling, hammering and dolly work to bring the shape back, followed by filler only where the metal genuinely needs it rather than as a shortcut over an unfinished pull.
Cairns roads bring their own share of panel damage, from gravel kicked up on the highway to the odd carpark misjudgement outside the shops, and the repair method depends on how deep that damage actually runs once we've had a proper look underneath the paint. Once a panel's straightened, it moves straight to our spray painting bay where the colour gets levelled against the surrounding panels, and if the damage falls under your policy, our insurance claims team can run the paperwork alongside the repair. If your panel's taken a hit, call us on 0432 437 710 and we'll work out where it stands from there.

What the Job Covers
- Straight-edge and raking light assessment
- Pulling, hammering and dolly work to reshape the panel
- Filler only where the metal needs it
- Final alignment check before the panel moves to paint
Why It Matters to Get This Stage Right
A rushed pull can look fine in the driveway and still show a wave under the paint within a few months, especially once Cairns humidity works into anything that wasn't finished off properly underneath. That's why the straight edge and raking light check happens before a single tool goes near the panel, not after.
